David P. "Anderson," MSSE
California Educator Equipping Young People to Change the World
David P. “Anderson,” MSSE has over 17 years of experience in expanded learning, youth development, and social justice. In 2018, Anderson was honored with the Emerging Leadership Award from the Expanded Learning Division of the California Department of Education. He has served on strategic planning committees for the Los Angeles County Office of Education, the California Department of Education, and currently serves as an advisory board member for the University of California, Irvine Division of Continuing Education.
Anderson is a servant leader and is honored to work in a field that helps to lay a solid academic, career, and civic foundation for students and employees. He believes that it is through our youth that we may change the world in one generation, and that in a few short years our students will have careers and be civically responsible members of their community and the world. Anderson enjoys golf, books, traveling, eating, going to plays, laughing, and spending time with family and friends.
Anderson is a double alum of the University of Southern California. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism and master’s degree in social entrepreneurship from the Marshall School of Business where he was awarded Social Entrepreneur of the Year.
